Throughout Scripture, God often raises up messengers in specific seasons whose lives and ministries carry prophetic patterns that point to what He is doing in later generations. One of the most significant of these patterns is found in the ministry of Elijah.

Elijah was raised up during a time of deep spiritual decline in Israel. The nation had turned to false gods, false prophets were thriving, and the people were largely blind to their own compromise. Into this environment, God sent Elijah with a clear and confrontational message: return to the Lord or face judgment.
